Conduct Of Inter-college Tournaments
All the competitions shall be conducted by the rules of the International Federation as adopted by the respective National Federation of India and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) unless otherwise specified.
Submission Of Entries
- Each affiliated College is entitled to enter only one team in a tournament. The minimum entries required for conducting a tournament shall be three teams.
- All the students of constituent institute of Geetanjali University can participate in the tournament, during the selection of University team AIU criteria will be applicable.
- To conduct inter-college tournaments minimum entries for individual events shall be three, otherwise event will stand cancelled & selection trial will be conducted to select university team only, for which medal and merit certificates will not be awarded.
Inter-college Participation
- All the teams/Athletes will be permitted to participate in inter-college tournaments only with proper playing kit and uniforms prescribed for the particular discipline.
- All the teams/participants should report on the ground half an hour before scheduled time for the commencement of the tournament.
- Students undergoing disciplinary action in the colleges will not be allowed to participate in the inter-college tournaments.
Fixture And Draw
- All the championship will be conducted in knock out/league basis. If the total number of teams are less than four the tournament shall be conducted directly on league basis. Fixture for the league round will be drawn by lots.
- All the colleges that sent the entries before the last date prescribed shall be included in the draw. The drawing the fixture will be done in phased manner to ensure maximum participation of teams in the inter-college tournament.
Misbehavior
Any college team member/coach/manager involving an act of misbehaviour will result in the debarring of the team for that academic year. The matter should be brought to the notice of the University and the concerned principals of the college. In case of personal / property damage caused by the participating individual/college the cost will be recovered from the individual/
college concerned.
Intercollegiate (Running) Champions Trophy Point System
- College who get maximum point from all sports events will get intercollegiate (running) champions trophy.
- Five team/ player get point 5 to 1 according their performances. In First get 5 point, second get 4, third get 3, fourth get 2 and fifth get 1 point.
- Points will be count team position multiply by number of players played in a team. Ex. If a team gets 2 place and number of players played in team are 6 than point will be 4*6=24.
Certificate And Medals
Certificates and medals will be awarded to the team/player who secures 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Brief Rules Of The Sports & Games
The inter-college tournaments/competitions shall be conducted under the rules of the respective sports federation as adopted by A.I.U., unless, otherwise, modified in these rules.
Kabbadi
- The matches are played on knockout tournament basis.
- A team shall consist of a maximum 12 player.
